Pride Events Face Funding Cuts Amid DEI Concerns, Economic Uncertainty

Organizers of several major LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations across the country are reporting a significant drop in corporate sponsorships this year. They attribute this decline to a combination of factors, including concerns over the rollback of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in some companies and general economic uncertainty.

The economic downturn is also playing a role, with some companies citing budget cuts as the reason for reducing or eliminating their Pride sponsorships. However, organizers believe that DEI concerns are a more significant factor in many cases.
