NYC Executive Charged with Rape, Torture of Multiple Women

A New York City executive, Ryan Hemphill, has been formally charged with multiple counts of rape and torture. The charges stem from allegations made by six women who claim Hemphill subjected them to horrific abuse at his Manhattan apartment over a five-month span. Prosecutors detailed a disturbing pattern of violence and control, leading them to suspect that there may be other victims who have yet to come forward.

The investigation began after one of the women managed to escape and report the incidents to the police. Her testimony led to the discovery of the other victims and a deeper understanding of the alleged crimes.
