Lawmakers Call for Investigation into Trump Team's War Plans Group Chat

Washington D.C. Members of Congress are calling for a formal investigation into allegations that a group chat used by members of the Trump administration discussed sensitive war plans. The controversy stems from a report published by The Atlantic, in which the publication's editor stated he was accidentally added to the group chat.

The chat, according to the report, contained detailed plans regarding potential U.S. military action in Yemen. Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have expressed serious concerns about the security and appropriateness of discussing such sensitive information on an unsecure platform. Concerns have also been raised about who authorized the use of such a channel for the discussion of military strategy.

"If these reports are accurate, this represents a serious breach of protocol and potentially endangers national security," said Senator Jane Doe (D-CA). "We need to understand who was involved, what information was shared, and what steps need to be taken to prevent this from happening again."
