LAS VEGAS Steve Sisolak, who served as the Democratic governor of Nevada before being defeated by Republican Joe Lombardo in the 2022 election, is considering a run for his old job in 2026. Sisolak, who governed Nevada during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, has indicated that he is seriously weighing a rematch against Governor Lombardo.

I am giving it a lot of thought, Sisolak said in a recent interview. The state faces many challenges, and I believe my experience is needed.
