Democrat Files Articles of Impeachment Against Trump

Representative Al Green, a Democrat, has filed articles of impeachment against former President Donald Trump. Green, who was previously removed from Trump's address to a joint session of Congress, stated that his decision was based on what he described as Trump's "authoritarian" tendencies.

"The evidence is clear," Green asserted. "Donald Trump's actions demonstrate a disregard for democratic principles and a dangerous concentration of power."

This is not the first time Green has called for Trump's impeachment. He previously advocated for it during Trump's time in office. The current effort is likely to face significant opposition in Congress, where Republicans hold a majority. However, Green insists that it is a necessary step to hold Trump accountable for his actions and to safeguard American democracy.
